For the
chapter members,
the organization's goal is to provide them with the
most possible professional advancement opportunities available. This
includes getting them all information on conferences, workshops,
internships, full-time employment, and scholarships. It will be
achieved by continuing to strengthen relationships with the national
organizations, other university organizations, and companies.
For
the university,
the organization's goal is to continue promoting all
available resources not only to science and engineering students but to
all current, past, and future students. In order to do so, the chapter
will continue its efforts on outreach to area students; make them aware
of the benefits of college, UTEP, science, and engineering. The
chapter is also committed in supporting the university in all
activities such as athletics and competitions.
For the
community,
the organization's goal is based around "give back what you
have been given.. and then some". New programs will be created in
order to reach more community members. This includes going to area
schools to interact with the students either by presentations,
tutoring, or mentoring. In addition to that, the organization will
seek more ways to be of better service to the community be giving a
helping hand to many community benefit programs/activities.
