From November 4th through the 7th the UTEP MAES chapter attended the MAES Symposium in Las Vegas NV at the Riviera Hotel and Casino. We took 38 members from UTEP as well as 5 Members from our Junior Chapter (selected through an essay contest) and 9 members from the NMSU chapter.

Congratulations to Kristian Ortiz, Jorge Frias, Fransisco Hernandez, Nydia Esparza, and Oscar Veliz for winning 2nd place at the the 2nd annual MAES College Decathlon. Special thanks to coach and UTEP grad Rudy Ayala and Irene Ayala for their support, encouragement, and words of wisdom.
