ARTICLE || NAME
This article shall be called Indian Students Association.
ARTICLE || OBJECTIVES
v To promote the Indian cultural heritage through on-campus activities and media.
v To help the new students in getting adjusted to the educational and cultural environment of the USA.
v To encourage social service by participating in on-campus community service activities.
v To promote academic excellence and participation in the on-campus programs.
v To promote friendship and unity.
ARTICLE || ORGANIZATION
The Indian students Association shall be composed of students (with a minimum GPA of 3.0), staff and /or faculty members and/or alumni who are interested in our purpose and goals.
The officers and their duties shall be
v Presides over the meetings, events and other related activities.
v Prepares semester action plan at the beginning of each semester by consulting the officers, members, and the international student advisor and the student activities center.
v Executes the action plan with help from others.
v Handles distribution of funds and analyses the economic situation of the organization
v Approves messages on the ISA Listserv.
v Signing authority of the Bank Account.
B. VICE PRESIDENT
v Associates and helps the president take over the responsibility in his or her absence and or inability to perform duties.
v Under the direction of the President, oversees the functionality of the committee as the President shall designate.
v Key organizer of events: Coordination and committee formation, plan of action etc.,
C. GENERAL SECRETARY
v Facilitates meetings and activities.
v Takes care of putting the plan on paper.
v USPS PO Box key holder.
