This club exists for currently enrolled students who enjoy mountain biking and road cycling, and who desire to compete in collegiate cycling racing.  Our goal is to represent UTEP in competitive racing events sanctioned by the National Collegiate Cycling Association (NCCA) during the 2009 - 2010 season.  This will be the first time in UTEP history that a team competes in collegiate cycling events.  The club is composed of beginner, intermediate, and advanced riders.  Currently there are approximately 40 club members including 17 team participants that will represent UTEP in NCCA competitions in the disciplines of road cycling and mountain biking.

As students we have limited resources and insufficient streams of income for the funding of a cycling club, which is why our UTEP cycling team is requesting sponsorship from your company/organization.  Sponsorship for our club would greatly motivate our athletic performance and allow us to focus better in our training.  Any type of donation or sponsorship to our club would relieve the financial needs of the club, which include equipment, apparel, NCCA registration fees, transportation, accommodations, and other travel expenses.  All monetary donations payable to “UTEP – Miner Cycling” are tax-deductable and the University provides each donor with a receipt.  Your company logo could also be displayed in our UTEP cycling team website.
