Pride, opportunity and commitment to the university community are just a few of the things that make up the UTEP Staff Council.
Established in 1994, the council was created to support UTEP's goals and leadership by representing the interest and concerns of the more than 2,000 staff members.
Each year the council has been fortunate to elect staff members that represent our Miner pride, fortitude and dedication.
The Staff Council and its subcommittees participate in different activities and events:
- Commencement
- Homecoming
- Valentine's Day Fundraiser
- Earth Day
- Mother's Day Fundraiser
- Splash and Sparks Appreciation Extravaganza
- Annual Info Fair and Staff Celebration
- Staff Council Textbook Scholarships Awards
- Extend tuition benefits to the staff's family members
