Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship:

The Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship (CfHE) is part of a Kauffman Grant, which was given to The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) to provide access to entrepreneurship education throughout Campus.  UTEP-Kauffman Campus Initiative is part of the Office of the Provost of the University and the program is Directed by Dr. Irasema Coronado, being the Co-PI Dr. Santiago Ibarreche.


Statement of Vision:

CfHE vision is:

         ·    To be an institution where generation, transformation and use of knowledge regarding Hispanic                                    entrepreneurship takes place.

Statement of Mission:

The Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship (CfHE) is part of the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) where generation, transformation and use of knowledge takes place to accomplish the following objectives:

·      Contribute to the quality and amount of knowledge of Hispanic Entrepreneurship by stakeholders who are UTEP students and professors, our sponsors, entrepreneurs, the three levels of government, society in general and more specifically the Hispanic community.

·       Develop and maintain a network for the interchange of resources, guidance, image, opportunities and information concerning Hispanic entrepreneurial activities; such as development of pedagogic instruments, research tools and databases, and learning aids.

·      Develop and maintain forums and outlets to procure and enhance dialog among entrepreneurs, the academic community, and policy makers.

·      Develop methods and procedures that help in the understanding and dissemination of knowledge of the entrepreneurial process and purpose, and

·      Define and promote the role Hispanics play in the entrepreneurial environment.

The quality of our services will be integrated by the usefulness and application of the knowledge generated and disseminated by the Center.

The director of the Center for Hispanic Entrepreneurship is Dr. Santiago Ibarreche.
